Separate sealed bids for Street Resurfacing will be received by the Geneva County Commission at the Geneva County Courthouse in Geneva, Alabama until Monday, June 23, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. CST. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Geneva County Commission Meeting in the Commission Courtroom at the Geneva County Courthouse, 200 North Commerce Street, Geneva, Alabama 36340.
The project consists of the following major elements: Furnishing all products and performing all labor necessary for the resurfacing of approximately 4.4 miles of roadway, including all necessary traffic control, paving, spot leveling, striping as identified and other miscellaneous items necessary to complete the work.
The Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Form of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents may be examined at the following location: Geneva County Road and Bridge Department located at 586 County Road 41, Hartford, AL 36344. Copies may be obtained at the Geneva County Road and Bridge Department located at 586 County Road Hartford, Alabama 36344.
The Bidder proposes and agrees, if this bid is accepted, to contract with the Geneva County Commission in the form of contract agreement specified, to furnish all necessary products, machinery, tools, apparatus, means of transportation, material and labor necessary to complete the construction of the work in full and complete accordance with the reasonably intended requirements of the contract documents and the “Alabama Department of Transportation Standard Specifications For Highway Construction”, latest edition, and the full and entire satisfaction of the Geneva County Commission.
The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit, with its bid, security in the amount of, form of and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246.
No bidder may withdraw its bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
A Pre-bid Meeting will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. CST in the Geneva County Commission Courtroom, Geneva County Courthouse. Bidder’s attendance is not required but encouraged.
