ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Separate sealed bids for the construction of Water & Sewer Improvements will be received by the Utilities Board of the Town of Maplesville, Water & Sewer Improvements Project No. CS010961-01, At 9420 Al Highway 22, Maplesville, Alabama 36750 until 5:00 o’clock P.M., C.D.S.T. January 13 , 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The project includes the following work: 8436 Linear feet of gravity sanitary sewer collection system with 41 connections, three pump stations, 9384 linear feet of Forcemain, and two state highway bores.

The attention of all bidders is called to the provisions of State Law governing “General Contractors” as set forth in Chapter Eight of Title Thirty Four of the 1975 code of Alabama as amended.

All BIDDERS must comply with the requirement of the Contractor’s Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the BIDDER’s current State of Alabama License number will be required before his/her BID will be received or considered and shall be written on the outside of the envelope in which Bid is submitted. Bid Proposals may be obtained by calling Sentell Engineering, Inc., Tuscaloosa, Alabama to be approved as a bidder then call Tusca Blue at (205) 752-9825 to buy the plans and specs for a payment of One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($ 150.00 ), (shipping will be extra) payable to Tusca Blue.

Pre-Bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the project will be held on, January 7, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. located at Sentell Engineering, Inc. 639 Black Bears Way, Alabama 65401.

All Bids must be plainly marked on the outside of the envelope:

Attention to Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 & E.O. 11246.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.

The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.
