Uniontown Water Meter Project
SECTION 00020 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Separate sealed bids for the construction of Waterworks and Sewer Board of the City of Uniontown – Water Meter Project will be received at 1055 Washington Street, Uniontown, Alabama 33786 until 2:00 o’clock P.M. , C.D.S.T. December 20, 2024, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.
The project includes the following work: Replacement of existing water meters with Ultrasonic water meters.
The attention of all bidders is called to the provIsIons of State Law governing “General Contractors” as set forth in Chapter Eight of Title Thirty Four of the 1975 code of Alabama as amended.
All BIDDERS must comply with the requirement of the Contractor’s Licensing Law of the State of Alabama and be certified for the type of work for which a proposal is submitted. The submission of the BIDDER’s current State of Alabama License number will be required before his/her BID will be received or considered and shall be written on the outside of the envelope in which Bid is submitted. Bid Proposals may be obtained by calling Sentell Engineering, Inc., Tuscaloosa, Alabama to be approved as a bidder then call Tusca Blue at
(205) 752-9825 to buy the plans and specs for a payment of Forty and no/100 Dollars ($40.00 ), (shipping will be extra) payable to Tusca Blue.
Pre-Bid meeting will be held on December 1 2, 2024 at Washington Street, L!niontown, Alabama 33786.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish in satisfactory form, within fifteen ( 15) days of Notice of Award to Contract:
(a) A Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract price.
(b) A Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the contract price.
(c) Adequate Public Liability and Workmen’s Compensation Insurance.

No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids.
