GORDO SPLASH PAD AND PLAYGROUND
LWCF GRANT #22-LW-1070
Sealed bids will be received by the Town of Gordo until 10:00 A.M. Local Time, November 9, 2023, at the
Town of Gordo, Alabama, 25266 Highway 82, Gordo, AL 35466 for supplying all labor and materials
specified and necessary for GORDO SPLASH PAD AND PLAYGROUND, LWCF GRANT #22-LW1070.
Contract time shall be 90 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed.
Liquidated damages will be assessed for each consecutive calendar day thereafter in the amount as specified
herein.
Principle items of work include but are not limited to: provision of equipment and installation of a 1,250
square feet, once through, splash pad and provision of equipment and installation of playground equipment
and engineered wood surface at the Gordo Town Park. The Town of Gordo will complete rough grading of
the site, installation of a 4-inch water line to the splash pad site, installation of an 18-inch storm drain,
installation of electrical power source and conduit, and concrete sidewalk. Bidders shall submit with their bid
the items noted in the Instructions to Bidders.
Bidders must be qualified under Alabama Law to perform the construction activities desired by the Owner
and must be registered with the State of Alabama’s Licensing Board for General Contractors as appropriate.
Furthermore, the successful Bidder, whether a resident or nonresident of the State of Alabama, shall be
required to comply with all other applicable City, County and State licensing and/or permit laws.
All Bidders must be registered with SAM.gov.
Proposals shall be submitted, sealed and deposited with the Town of Gordo at Town Hall located at 25266
Highway 82, Gordo, Alabama, prior to the hour and date herein before designated. No bidder may withdraw
his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
Each Bidder must deposit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent
(5%) of his bid, payable to the Town of Gordo, as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial
statement, if requested by the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and
Performance Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 10:00 a.m., Local Time, November 1, 2023. at the
Gordo Town Hall, 25266 Highway 82, Gordo, AL 35466. Prospective Contractors must have a
representative in attendance at this meeting for their bid to be considered.

Gordo Water, Gas and Sewer Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any
