City of Talladega CDBG Demolition and Clearance

Separate sealed bids for the demolition and clearance of specified structures will be received by the City of Talladega in the Council Chambers at Talladega City Hall, Talladega, AL until 11:00 AM, C.S.T., on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at which time and place they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD AT THE SAME LOCATION AT 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2023. Proposals received from bidders not in attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference will be returned unopened.
The Information For Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond and other contract documents may be requested by contacting Renae Blackburn at purchasing@talladega.com.
All bids must be submitted on bid forms provided by the City of Talladega, Alabama. Bids must be submitted to the Purchasing Department in a sealed envelope marked “City of Talladega CDBG Demolition and Clearance”. State of Alabama Contractor’s License number shall be listed on the outside of the sealed bid. The City of Talladega reserves the right to waive any informalities or reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders.
Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246.
Bidders may contact Renae Blackburn at purchasing@talladega.com to obtain a bid package which describes the specific building(s) to be demolished and to view the subject buildings proposed for demolition.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
